With so many people being affected by cancer in different ways these days, either through knowing someone close to them, a friend of a friend, or actually having cancer themselves, it’s not something you can ignore, and it won’t go away if we stick our heads in the sand. Self testing and regular check-ups are important for all of us and Breast Cancer Awareness Month is great reminder about taking care of ourselves and the importance of supporting others. Listen to our inspirational special guest Sandee Thompson, who took on breast cancer herself and walked away with a bilateral mastectomy. Sandee shows us that if you are diagnosed with the Big C, it’s not the end of the world, and can in fact be a new beginning. Sandee can be contacted directly at sandee_t@yahoo.com |
